Located at 305 Eagle Ln, Belen, NM 87002, Eagle Park is a beloved community spot known for its open green spaces, pet-friendly trails, and welcoming vibe. Visitors often praise its shaded picnic areas, well-maintained grassy fields, and variety of activities for all ages, making it a perfect destination for pet owners and their furry friends. While not a dedicated dog park, reviews note plentiful open areas and shaded spots ideal for dogs to exercise on-leash, and easily accessible walking paths for dog-friendly hikes.
The park is popular for family gatherings, local events, and youth sports practices, creating a vibrant local hub. Amenities such as shaded picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms (porta potties), and waste stations for dogs make it pet- and family-friendly. Eagle Park is especially appreciated for its small-town charm, local events, and proximity to a pool and rec center, making it a great year-round destination for those seeking a peaceful place to walk their dog or enjoy Belen’s pet-friendly outdoors.
Who ever redesigned the park didn’t have all kids in mind at all. They even updated the swings so there’s less to do and less people who can play, they have also removed the shade from all around the park and tables. They only have ran down porta potties.
I went to Eagle Park to go meet my sister who was watching her grandson’s football practice. I really enjoy watching my great nephew practice… after all, all that practice has resulted in him completing two interceptions in the last two games. Their coach is authentic and makes each child feel special. A shout out to all the good & great coaches out there. These boys sure need good role models. I’ll be back for more fun in Eagle Park. It’s a great park.
Nicest park within 20 minutes of us. It has some nice playgrounds, lots of grass and a fair few shade trees. It has sports areas, bathrooms, shaded picnic tables, and other amenities. There is also a pool and rec center right nearby. The downside is that it does have a lot of pricker grass and goats head weeds
Attended the world’s largest mantanza. They ran out of red chile, waited over an hour in line for parking, long lines everywhere. Very disorganized. Positive is dollars go towards a good cause. #worldslargestmantanza
I’ve come for two events at this park, both well organized. Although the events were small, they were memorable. I will continue to make the drive from Albuquerque to visit events in this park. Great job guys.
