This pet-friendly preserve features shady trails, a lovely pond, and plentiful opportunities for picnicking and bird-watching. The natural setting offers a diverse landscape, including hilly terrain, ravines, and a variety of native Louisiana plants, providing a unique outdoor experience for both pets and owners seeking a true nature escape.
While there are no dedicated canine areas such as fenced runs or agility equipment, leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the miles of dog-friendly trails. This is the best time of year to visit the Mary Ann Brown Nature Preserve. The pond area is beautiful with many different varieties of Louisiana Irises in bloom.
Great place to hike and take in some nature.
We took the Scouts for a trip, they enjoyed the trails, the pond and the facilities. Very peaceful area far from the busy highway. Plenty to look at and explore.
