A hidden gem of Williams College and Williamstown.
The tranquility among the woods and the sounds of nature by the river are unparalleled.
Fall does its best by putting this tiny park in colorful dressing and fragrance.
The park will always be a great place to bring your kids despite the equipment they spent over NULLk on and after two years is falling apart. They really made a big mistake tearing down the equipment many of us grew up with. Said it was unsafe. The most it lacked was resilient surfacing.
I mostly take my child down to the river embankment where he likes to toss rocks and climb on trees. Maybe next time Williamstown plans to build or preserve a playground – they just don’t consult equipment sales people and they also follow-up with a maintenance plan.
It’s really a great site now, especially for the kids. The whole playground has been overhauled and replaced, the beach has been cleaned with multiple cleared paths leading to it. There’s several picnic tables, and a small parking area.
I haven’t been there in 30 years. It’s amazing, there is now a pseudo beach, picnic benches, and a very kid friendly play ground. Lots of room for kids to run around.
A somewhat small yet beautiful park, this place has some incredible riverside views and makes a great place for a stroll, picnic, or to bring kids. It is rather close to campus, which makes access for college students very convenient, and is a popular running spot for many students.
