If you’re looking for a dog park in Sugar Land, Texas, Colony Grant Park offers pet-friendly trails and abundant green space perfect for both pups and their humans. With scenic, shaded walking paths, peaceful wildlife viewing, and large open fields, it’s an ideal spot for dog-friendly hiking, frisbee, or just relaxing in the fresh air. Pet owners love the shade provided by large trees, making strolls enjoyable even during the Texas summer. The unique Little Rock area with water and boardwalks adds to the park’s appeal for nature lovers and their furry friends.
Though Colony Grant Park isn’t a traditional fenced-in dog park, it features walking trails, picnic tables, a playground, and open fields for games. Water fountains are present, but be sure to bring your own water for both you and your dog as restrooms are not available. Parking can get busy on weekends and you may need to utilize neighborhood or nearby school parking. The overall well-kept grounds, mature shade, and beautiful scenery make this park a favorite for dog owners seeking a casual, welcoming outdoor destination.
Park looks like it’s been recently updated. There is no airplane anymore. It seems to be well maintained. It has a merry go round and a playground appropriate for older toddlers and bigger kids. The playground area is mulched. A picnic table is next to the playground and bench swing. There are a couple of older benches around the walking paths and green space.
Location is nice but the park equipment is pretty old, rusty, and broken…
Cute little pocket park. You have to park in the neighborhood or school next door. Has a cute butterfly garden and walking track. Playground equipment is fun but old and in need of replacement. No water fountain or restroom
While I’m sure this park was amazing 20 years ago when it first opened, it’s now showing it’s age. The playscape is rusted. There are bugs in the sandpit. The plastic helicopter and jet are faded. There are so many other great parks around here to waste time at this one.
I just love going here with my kids. It is really beautifuly designed. There’s the Little Rock area with water. You can take your dogs are nice space to play Frisbee or balls outside.
