Robert Brookins Park is a tucked-away, small community park located in the Natomas area of Sacramento, CA, offering a friendly atmosphere for families and dog owners alike. The park features a pet-friendly environment where you can stroll paved paths with your furry companion and enjoy outdoor activities in a relaxed, neighborhood setting. While there are playgrounds, bocce ball courts, and even an amphitheater for special events, dogs are welcome to join you on your walk or play in the grassy areas.
For Sacramento dog owners, the park is a decent choice when looking for dog-friendly trails and green spaces in the city. The park is open from sunrise to 10 PM, with street parking available surrounding the area. Visitors mention that while there is enough lighting in the kids playground, the walking paths are less illuminated as it gets darker, and there is limited shade available. Though you won’t find dedicated off-leash or fenced dog play areas, it remains a simple, clean, and easily accessible destination for walking your dog and enjoying some time outdoors. Trash bins are conveniently placed for dog waste disposal. Please note there are no public restrooms available and some users report the area may have stray dogs or be busy at times.

Cleaner and more comfortable than the other parks around.
Nice place to walk and to have raspados with family.
Nice park. My kids came to help take care of some of the trees. Seems like a nice park but there was some drama while we were there. I hope it’s not usually that way because I’m moving to the area soon and want my family to enjoy the park.
Great to exercise. Play sports. Birthday parties. Or to just relax. Doesn’t have BBQ though. But it’s a simple park that’s great.
