Good day, I visited the Ravine in Prospect Park after hearing of the fire. I did not allow a week to pass as something led me to go. It was dark out during my visit as I do night excursions at different parks, so there wasn’t much visibility for me to see damage. But the scent of the smoke was really strong, along with a serene yet tense feeling in the air. I would say this is the first park where I walked past about 3 different men dressed in all black with backpacks. So watch your back and/or go with others. Contact me as well if you don’t have the company to come with.
Definitely will be exploring the Ravine again, during the daytime soon.

I think fire across from Ravine, also across from east side of Nethermead arches may have been deliberate or caused by cigarette smoking.

I’ve seen individuals smoking, duos and like a marathon event and each and everyone of them got away with it. Not a single official, undercover cop, a voice from speaker with virtual monitoring telling folks to put cigarette, weed or whatever else, out safely.

Homeless people are being blamed for the fire. The lowest hanging fruit when players start gaming.

Google maps will not upload collage pics for Prospect Park or sites in park so I’m unable to upload collages of close-up, written messages folks left on fence about fire. I’ve been able to upload collages for other locations so Google maps needs some updates on how their app functions.

App is also unable to combine an address with a standalone facility occupying a single space. Meaning, users can search an address, see facility in Google pic but can only see other pics by searching facility’s name.

I’m giving review one star because Prospect Park’s officials need to check-in to fact that there are people willing to damage park in whichever way they can for whatever reasons and park’s advocates are looking like voyeurs.

What looked like used condoms can be found off main paths and even close to sidewalks. Human trafficking may be taking place in that park and who looks like they monitoring for criminal activities?

This spot is such a gem, so peaceful and quiet.

Felt like I was somewhere and I was literally right in Brooklyn.

A well needed hike!

It is a great place for meditation with the waterfall. I recommend going in the morning when park opens at 6am. Later in the day people are site seeing or working out, and others are cruising for a date.
