The parks department is a joke, the dog park is in horrible condition. There are rat holes and the park floods when it rains. Probably going to stop coming here because dogs have been getting sick.

My boyfriend and I used to take his dog to this park all the time. With it being close to his apartment, it was perfect. But the conditions at the park are going downhill fast. It was so frustrating when I dog sat for him, and i wasn’t able to take him to this park in fear that he would get sick. Please do something about this dog park. It’s located in a great area, and would be so great for the community if it were able to hold high standards to ensure our dogs safety.

The ground cover is also eroding and dogs have taken to chewing and pulling on the fabric underneath. This park is neglected and it’s a shame. There is even a really nice, new, huge turf field that was recently installed in the park — but this dog run has not been offered the same care by the parks department. Wish the city would invest the same amount of money and effort into the health and safety of the dogs they did the sports fields.
