Decided to stop and look around while on a weekend excursion and was very pleased. The town of Clarion did a wonderful job as the park is beautiful! Memorial plaques decorate the square for all the branches, including a few dedicated to the women who served our country as well. Thank you Clarion – for erecting such a beautiful memorial.

This park doesn’t quite hold up to the word “park” and what you think of if someone would say let’s meet at the Veterans Park uptown. Don’t get me wrong it’s a wonderful contribute to us soldiers young and old but it’s small and not much to it. I was pleased to finally see some picnic tables put up which made it better. Too bad there wasn’t more that could be done with the “park”. It’s kept well, nice flowers and shrubs.

There are benches and picnic tables to use at this park. The gazebo looks nice and has a ramp entrance on one side. The sidewalks make a cross through the middle of the park so you can walk around the park or through the middle. The monuments look nice in the park and there are some shrbs and trees growing. The one thing I did not like is the only parking available has parking meters.
