Good for a nice walk but not much else here for general day use. All new roads with groomed areas. No vehicles permitted behind the general parking at the front of the park (there is a swing gate that is closed/locked blocking entry). It’s about a 1 mile walk from the entrance to Stephenson point (lake area).

The state park has been doing some great work on the roads/paths, however you are not able to drive in to the main part of the park so it’s a fair walk to the water. The bugs were awful (not surprisingly since there is a lot of swampy land). It feels like the park is poised for a come back and they are doing a fair bit of work to get it beatified. The parking by the entrance was plentiful.

This park is unmaintained but still so beautiful! Great swimming area and only saw one other person! Didn’t walk through the abandoned camping loops but I’m sure it would be a nice walk!
