We go to the dog park at Whalon Lake and absolutely love it. The large dogs have an area and small dogs have their own area. We’ve met so wonderful dog families.

If we still lived in the area, we definitely would have continued our membership. Absolutely worth every penny, assuming you actually bring your dog.

The park is gigantic and is split up into two sides. This allows for the grass to heal on one side and not get too muddy. The park rangers do come and check for passes from time to time so if you intend on trying to sneak in for free, be wary that they actually do check.

Overall, the park is very well maintained. Owners who go here are responsible and actually clean up after their dogs. We now live closer to a free park which is nice, but the size and quality of Whalon Lake is unmatched.

Well maintained off leash areas for large and small dogs. Excellent year round location for your dog(s) to blow off energy and rest when they get back home.

Bike/ walk trails, picnic tables and grills available, beautiful scenery. A bit of city noise so not a total escape from it but pretty close. We saw herons, geese, ducks, turtles… veeeeeery lively there with animals.
