Franklin City Park is a charming multi-use park located in the heart of Franklin, Idaho, making it an ideal spot for local families and travelers alike. For dog owners, the park features a fenced-in, off-leash dog area where pups can freely burn off energy on the green grass. This dedicated dog enclosure is a wonderful pit stop for those traveling with pets through southeastern Idaho—especially when your four-legged companion needs a break from the car. Picnic tables near the dog area let owners relax while their dogs play, offering a peaceful place to unwind while enjoying views of the surrounding park and distant mountains.
The park also offers a wide range of amenities. There are restrooms, shaded picnic shelters, playgrounds for children, sports courts, and plenty of parking options. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and pet-friendly, but please note: it’s bring-your-own-water for dogs, and waste bags are provided at the dog area. Thanks to tree cover and a large pavilion, there’s plenty of shade for both humans and pets, making this one of the most welcoming and convenient dog parks in Franklin, Idaho.

Franklin City Park is a gem of a park in a great rural community. They have a nice shelter for gatherings, frisbee golf course, a pickleball court, and playground for the kids. Bathrooms are new and always kept clean. My favorite aspect is the full size basketball court. It is the nicest outdoor court in Cache Valley.

Franklin City Park provides useful amenities, pristine grounds, and easy accessibility right in the heart of town. For sports activities, the park offers pickleball, basketball, and sand volleyball courts, as well as baseball and frisbee golf fields. That’s a lot to offer for a smaller town park! The park’s cleanliness and well-kept property are commendable, with manicured lawns and a litter-free environment, in my experience. The north end of the park has excellent tree cover and a pavilion that provides plenty of shade on hot days for group gatherings. There is also a playground area for kids. Thanks, Franklin, for such a nice public park!

Great place for kids that are little (like under 7). Any kids older than that would probably find it boring. It’s right next to a church and there is a picnic table area. It is also next to all the Franklin historic buildings so it’s cool to take the kids over there too.
