Stinson Park is a charming neighborhood park located on the Ortega River, making it one of the more scenic pet-friendly parks in Jacksonville, Florida. Dog owners and their pets can enjoy waterfront views, peaceful surroundings, and lots of open space to stretch their legs.
This riverside green space features benches, water fountains, and a paved sidewalk loop ideal for a casual dog-friendly stroll, as well as fields where children can play and families can picnic. The park’s open design and tranquil atmosphere make it a comfortable spot for walking your dog, biking, or relaxing with your pet. While it’s popular on weekends and has limited parking, it’s a great pet-friendly stop in the Ortega area of Jacksonville for outdoor fun or a quiet break along the waterfront.
Gorgeous park and playground with a cool dock, playground and river front bulkhead perfect for fishing. I gave it three stars for the limited parking area and no bathroom facilities.

The park is well laid out and has a little playground. Great views of the river. Lots of squirrels and some birds. The only downside is that there often times seems to be some sketchy characters that hang around the park and every time we have been it seems to be quite crowded. It’s also very small. But nonetheless it’s a good park.

I took the family out for fresh air and beautiful scenes. Across the street there was the St.Johns river, which you could see some of downtown across the way, some people were fishing. I would recommend coming by and relaxing.
