🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located on an unnamed road in Fremont, NE 68025, this popular dog park is a favorite for local dog owners seeking a clean and accessible space for their pets. The park is uniquely designed with separate areas for small and large dogs, making it safe and enjoyable for pups of all sizes. With ample space to run, a friendly pet community, and amenities like picnic tables and seating, it’s a top spot for anyone searching for a dog-friendly destination in Fremont.
Among the park’s highlights are its wheelchair accessibility, convenient parking right next to the entrance, and thoughtful amenities such as water stations, poop bags, and trash cans. The grounds are spacious and mostly well-kept, though some wear is visible near the entrance. While there is a covered seating area to provide some shelter, extra shade is limited. Visitors appreciate the pet-friendly environment, easy access for families and children, and the ability for dogs to play safely off-leash. This dog park stands out as one of Fremont’s go-to locations for animal lovers and their four-legged companions.
Love the fact that this place is divided for small and larger dogs. Very clean place for dogs to go and have some fun.
Could be a nice place if people picked up their dogs poop and actually went in with the dogs instead of dropping them off. There is an old man that goes there in the morning who thinks he owns the place. Him and his little dog yelling at people.
It’s a decent park where there’s space for small and large dogs separately. Water, bags and trash can provided which some don’t take advantage of.
I wish they section it more. I really dont like my pup with others. Especially when shes out numbered an it gets a bit much. Shes a pit. But shes tiny. I end up leaving
We have been bringing our dog here for years and we (my wife, dog and I) really like it. The grounds themselves around the entrance and “people” area are not in the best of shape due to grass worn down and dogs digging but the rest of the area is nice and big for dogs to run and get their sniffs. The divided sides for the smaller dogs is also a perk and the different sized pooches can say hello through the chain link. The fact the parking is right next to the entrance is great on cold days. Even though there is a covered seating area, it doesn’t provide the best protection from the sun but is still a decent place to sit if you are so inclined. If the city would put a bit more effort into upkeep or improvements, this would definitely be a 5 out of 5 as the potential and possibilities are endless in such a large space.
