Todd Island Park is the BEST for kids & swimming / floating. Safe area, normally other families around, amazing jumping rock (it’s over the bridge and just to the right), and great fishing (spring / fall better than summer since water too warm). Water is mostly shallow (2-3’), but deeper by the rock and under the bridge. There is a Porto pot there too. Parking can be a little tough on weekends since lots of families there (super fun, chill vibe with everyone). Enjoy!!!

Very nice place to walk on an island between a split in the new river. There were several folks fishing along the banks and kayaks going by. If you walk your dogs, please be respectful and pic up dog waste. There are no waste receptacles onsite, so all waste must be taken with you.

It’s a beautiful place with a very easy, short walking trail around a portion of the river. You’ll enjoy beautiful flowers and plenty of butterflies. There are little cut-ins to get closer to or into the water along the walking trail and we saw a few people fishing (but there’s a wider/more accessible part of the river by the parking area where we saw a lot more people fishing.) Overall it’s a perfect little walk that’s very manageable for young children, but probably a bit short if you’re an active adult and are just visiting for the walk. We were able to push our dog in her stroller with a little effort in the grassy parts (lol, don’t laugh, she’s very old!) so I think a regular child’s stroller could probably get through the walk also if you had to, but be aware that it’s not a paved trail- it’s mostly grass and packed dirt. There were a couple of picnic tables at the park if you’re looking for a place to eat a packed lunch.
