Nestled on the peaceful edge of Forest Grove, Thatcher Dog Park offers a welcoming and scenic retreat for dog owners and their pets. The fully fenced dog park features separate spaces for small and large dogs, a dedicated winter area with bark chips, and a large grassy field perfect for group play. A highlight for active pups is the fun agility equipment in the main area, making it a favorite spot for training and play.
Visitors will appreciate amenities like shaded areas, benches, accessible water spigots for dogs, and abundant parking. The surrounding natural beauty includes nearby nature trails, a baseball field, and a picnic-friendly park environment. Families also benefit from a covered playground near the dog area, making this a true community hub for dog-friendly activities and relaxed outings in Forest Grove.
This is one of my favorite places to walk the dog. The wildlife in the forest is pretty cool too. This gray owl.

Cute little dog park with playground. Though we avoided the actual dog park, we hiked the small forest and the red clover field. Place is beautiful! They have bathrooms too

Nice dog park – separate areas for smaller dogs or group play, side area for winter with bark chips. Fun little obstacle course. Poop bags, trash, benches to sit.

This park is a nice one and the grass is kept up. There’s a small winter area (see picture with the bark), a larger small dog area, and a big open area for the mixed doggos. Inside the large mixed dog area is agility equipment. I do see people bring their kiddos and they have something to play on too! There’s plenty of water available, trash cans/bag stations are provided and close enough to where you’re not having to walk outside the park or trek however long to a trash. There’s plenty of parking. There’s also a baseball field and nature trails right outside the dog areas. There aren’t really paths (paved or dirt), but the parking lot is paved, walk to the park is paved, and there’s the area under the gazebo thing that’s paved (James in the pic is lying on it).
I will note- I do find a lot of people at this particular location with intact dogs, more so than other parks we have been to.
James gives it the paws up!
