For those searching for a dog park in Great Falls, Virginia that offers stunning scenery and excellent pet-friendly trails, Great Falls VA is a prime destination. Located along the Potomac Heritage Trail, this park features miles of well-marked hiking routes winding through lush woodlands, dramatic rock formations, and alongside the rushing Potomac River. Dogs are welcome throughout the park, but must be kept on a leash at all times to ensure the safety of both pets and wildlife. Calming walking along the Potomac river. Well marked! Hiking in the winter and the entire trail was ice but worth it. I recommend this place. Make sure to keep your dog leashed!

20240101 2nd time hiking this trail. I love that the trail runs from Riverbemd to Great Falls without needing to drive from one park to another. The part of Great Falls is where the dam is, and keep hiking East will take you to Great Falls Oark where the huge waterfalls are. The hike from Riverbend Vistors Center to the Great Falls Dam is 1 mile.

Having traveled to other beautiful areas, the falls offer a pleasurable getaway from the exhausting hustle and bustle of the daily grind. A National Park located in Great Falls and McLean VA, it is the offal m ideal location to take family, friends and solo, to view the wonders of nature. The Great Falls begins from up North to spill into Virginia to provide breathtaking views of the rapids and the rock formations. It’s too bad that this area restricts the flight of drones for better suits and views, but you’ll have to settle for handheld devices for now until by some miracle the restrictions are lifted. In any case, the Falls offers trails and picnic tables for all to sit back and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.
