Located in Arlington, Virginia, Fort Ethan Allen Park offers a welcoming space for both dogs and their owners. The dog park features a spacious, fenced area where pets can play off-leash, making it a local favorite among dog owners seeking a safe spot to exercise their dogs. The park sits on historic grounds, lending a unique charm with its open fields, history signage, and tranquil surroundings. Pet-friendly trails wind through the park, offering picturesque walks for you and your pup.
The park is well-maintained with amenities including benches and picnic tables for owner comfort, a water source for dogs, and waste bag stations to help keep the area clean. Shade is available thanks to beautiful birch trees along the paths, providing relief on sunny days. While the dog area isn’t divided by dog size, it remains popular and friendly, surrounded by residential neighborhoods and near playgrounds for kids, making it ideal for families, too.
Nice little park in the neighbourhood. Not too crowded and it has playground for your kids to play around. I am sure your children will love it.

A nice little neighborhood park sitting on the site of a historic, revolutionary war fort. There’s big open fields, signs and models describing the history of the area, a playground, a dog park and even a cannon. The playground is very well made and safe for kids despite having been there for decades. The dog park is spacious and fairly popular with local dog owners.
Considering its status as a former fort If you’re into you’re into military history I recommend seeking this place out. But keep in mind that a lot of the open field space is sometimes used for children’s soccer games which could make parking and even experiencing the historical stuff difficult at best.

This is a small park surrounded by residential houses leading to a trail. If you love to walk and has a little time to do so, this is a nice place to do it. I sometimes come here to while away some time, sitting in the car with your thoughts, have your lunch in silence or just be at peace with nature.

Decent dog park, although the pea gravel/dirt ground is extremely dusty. If you have a dog that likes to roll around on the ground be aware that they’ll probably need a bath afterward.
Bags are provided, there’s a water source for the dogs, and benches and picnic tables for the people to sit. It seems well maintained with a good amount of info available at the bulletin board.
It doesn’t seem to have a separate area for large and small dogs, but rather one large area.
