Walnut Creek Leash Free Dog Park is one of the largest and most popular dog parks in Papillion, Nebraska. This park offers expansive, well-maintained fenced areas where your dogs can run freely and socialize safely. Unique to the park, there are two dedicated spaces—one for small dogs and another much larger area catering to all breeds—with several paths leading to a natural pond. The beautiful scenery and open grass make it one of the top destinations for off-leash dog fun in the Omaha metro area.
Located within a pet-friendly, multi-use recreational area, visitors can enjoy not only the dog park but also picnic areas, hiking trails, and fishing spots. The park features a water fountain toward the entrance, benches for relaxing, and easy access for wheelchair users. Shade from nearby trees and the excitement of a swimming pond—though muddy—make it a standout spot for adventure-loving pups. Parking is available via parallel spaces in front of the dog park, and the area is generally kept clean by conscientious visitors.
Best park in the area! Two of the fences areas are 50 yards each. The third is much bigger with several paths to the pond. The pond is extremely muddy and the water very silty so cleaning off requires bringing your own towel.
Beautiful scenery, cleanly, large area; many amenities such as: fire pits, grills, native camping site, dog park, dock, many trails for hiking. They even have a secluded area to hike with your pup.
I dig fishing here! The locale is relaxing… but the shore/pier fishermen/women are so much fun in the morning! I meet new people all the time and it reminds me of growing up on the water in Louisiana.
Top notch Papillion!
Lovely dog park! Huge amount of space and grass. Two different areas for different size dogs. There is a water fountain towards the entrance, and a couple benches for sitting. Super nice area. Parking is a bit annoying as you need to parallel park right in front.
