Wonderfull 5.1 walk. Bring your dog. Trail is shaded, well cared for, soft on the feet, easy ups and downs. Park at the Environmental Center to begin your walk. Don’t forget to stop inside to learn about local wildlife and more. You can also go to the main entrance with additional parking and boats.

I went for a walk at the Manasquan Reservoir and had a great time. The loop trail was easy to follow and gave me constant views of the water and quiet woodland. It was the perfect pace for stopping here and there to take photos, and the light reflecting off the reservoir made for some really nice shots. I liked that the trail felt well maintained and safe, but still had plenty of wildlife. It was a peaceful spot to enjoy nature and come home with photos I’m glad I took.

This place is awesome for fishing! I catch monster catfish and big white perch. You want to have 2 ounce weight to get the bait far enough unless you have a boat. I have caught some nice ones and have seen Muskies surfacing.

Engaging 5 mile track around reservoir with opportunity to get more on adjacent trails and properties (like Winter Run Farm). Visitor center is a convenient starting point for a hike. Also, a good place to reserve your spot for boat tours around reservoir. Water views are abundant and scenic, although I’m not a fan of tree stumps in the water. Ample parking lot near visitor center. Other access points are at Environmental Center and at Chestnut Point.

One of the best things about this trail is the serene atmosphere. Whether you’re taking a solo stroll or enjoying the company of friends, you’ll find plenty of quiet moments to soak in the beauty of the reservoir. You’ll pass through lush woodlands, cross charming bridges, and catch glimpses of swans, geese, and maybe even a bald eagle!
The gravel path makes it comfortable for long walks, and the restrooms and parking areas are conveniently located. On warmer days, the cool breeze off the water adds to the experience, making it a refreshing outing.
