Happy to see my brother being honored here!! The kids rub his helmet as they pass by before their games as a way keep the memory of his love for his neighborhood and his country alive!!!

Love it! The sprinkler cooled my toddler off when the slide was so hot. Helped him deal with the hot equipment. The climbing areas are awesome! It seems like they are for older kids tho (6-10)

Located in the northwest corner of Beverly Park, the playground – named the Maeve McNicholas Playlot – features a variety of interesting climbing elements and a small water spray feature. It’s a great playground – highly recommend.

Things for kids of all ages! My 13yo and my 3yo both had a blast. I like the soft fake grass in the playground area. The attractions are very different than most parks so it’s a nice change. It does have swings! Sometimes that’s hard to find in Chicago parks. I took a star away because there are too many net and rope ladders and bridges in the younger kid’s climbing area so my 3yo and her cousin were only able to get to one slide. The slides in that area aren’t very tall and don’t have any interesting turns or bumps so I can imagine a kid big enough to actually climb the rope ladder to get to them will then be let down. We used the picnic tables and had lunch and I was able to pull my laptop out and get some work done while still sitting close enough to watch the kids play. Overall great park! I will definitely be back soon
