Located along the scenic river in Bethlehem, PA, the D&L Trail: Nagy’s Landing Trailhead & Parking offers pet owners a convenient access point to enjoy dog-friendly hiking and nature walks near Bethlehem. The trail is wide, flat, and well-maintained, making it accessible and enjoyable for people and dogs of all ages. With picturesque views, rich wildlife—including turtles, squirrels, beavers, great blue heron, ducks, and geese—and river access for kayaking, this trailhead is a unique spot for outdoor enthusiasts and their pets.
The parking area is small (typically accommodating about 8–12 cars), but shaded and easy to reach, with overflow parking available a short distance away. While there isn’t a designated fenced dog area, dogs are commonly seen enjoying the trails, though local etiquette and reviews stress the importance of keeping dogs on a leash, as off-leash dogs occasionally cause concerns for other visitors. Benches and picnic areas are dotted along the trail for rest breaks, and trash receptacles help maintain cleanliness, though visitors are reminded to always pick up after their pets.
Great access point to the trail system and for Kayak launching. Very small parking area (approximately 8 to 10 car maybe max) but easy to drive to. Worst case scenario is you can drop your boats or gear there and then park approximately 1000 ft down the road is a larger parking area that is more popular with cyclists.

It could be better taken care of. Mostly for bikers. Don’t be afraid of the gunshots, there is a firing range across the river.
