Located conveniently on Ashburn Rd in Ashburn, Virginia, the W&OD – Ashburn is a popular destination for dog owners looking for pet-friendly trails and outdoor adventures. This park is best known for providing access to the scenic W&OD Trail, a favorite path among local dog walkers, runners, and cyclists. With ample parking and plenty of tree coverage, it’s an inviting spot for both dogs and their owners to enjoy the outdoors year-round.
While there isn’t a designated off-leash dog area or fenced dog park, leashed dogs are welcome to explore the spacious gravel trails and green scenery. Numerous picnic tables and excellent shade make the park a comfortable location to relax after a walk or run. This location also boasts wheelchair accessible entrances and parking lots, ensuring everyone in the Ashburn community can enjoy the amenities.
The best place to park for a run. Can run five miles in either direction on crushed gravel trails before crossing a major intersection.
Amazing cycling path. It’s my favorite trail to bicycle, has good greenery for the entire path.
Was walking my dog on the trail. Wonderful day, perfect weather!
There are plenty of parking spaces, lots of tree coverage and many picnic tables. The long line of backed up cars to get to the lot is caused by the toll booth, not from lack of spaces. Be patient – 20 or so min inching forward and you’ll make it.
Best place to park the vehicle and get on W&OD trail if you live in Ashburn.
