Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Beth Miller Park is a small neighborhood gem conveniently located near the W&OD Trail in Ashburn, Virginia. This pet-friendly park is a great destination for those seeking a peaceful place to stroll with their dogs, enjoy wildlife around the pond, or connect with scenic walking paths. While compact in size, Beth Miller Park features wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, making it a welcoming spot for all visitors and their canine companions.
The park offers a paved loop trail perfect for leashed walks with your dog and easy access to the wider W&OD Trail for longer adventures. While amenities are minimal (no designated seating, restrooms, or fenced dog areas), visitors appreciate the park’s beautiful pond with views of turtles, ducks, and even blue herons. Its tranquil setting and kid-friendly environment make it an inviting place for families and pet owners alike.
A nice park in Neighbourhood , A small lake connected to W&OD walking trail
A nice park, the a pretty pond right after the parking lot. I saw a blue heron, ducks and turtles. There are paved trails to walk and bike
Very small “park” with no amenities (no shelter, trash cans, picnic table, benches, bathrooms, etc). Contains a lot for 40-ish cars (not shaded), paved loop about 1/16 mi long next to a small pond, and a connection to the W&OD.
The park seems to be a poorly-planned afterthought: no official trail around the pond, no benches for sitting, and the parking lot doesn’t even directly access the trail despite having mere inches of grass between the curb and trail; instead, you must either pop the curb or go around. I’m sure the park’s existence is intended as a cut-through to the W&OD, but it could be a destination of its own with just a few simple additions.
Great little accessible pond for seeing wild life. By the way, reviews below mentioning venomous snakes, I have seen many common brown watersnakes. They look like venomous snakes but they are harmless. Please do not hurt any snakes.
