Attended a concert on Friday night. It was great sitting outside listening to music (free). There were food options and beverages to choose from. My only suggestion would be a little lighting would be nice. It was difficult to find your seat between the crowd and darkness

The 2 roads we were on, and the police horses we saw were a delight. We wanted to just find a place to sit and grab some sliced fruit from Giant Eagle on the way in. Sat under the older shelter that was walking distance from the parking area there. It was a really nice afternoon and we will definitely be back.

I’ve lived just north of Pittsburgh my entire life and have never spent any time in South Park. We wound up doing my son’s fall pictures there and I couldn’t get over how absolutely beautiful the park is. I highly highly recommend using it as a backdrop for your fall photos if you get a chance.

A fun, clean, cheap place to spend a summer afternoon! Plenty of lifeguards and lots of grass and turf to spread out on. They rent tubes and have concessions as well. The bathrooms are large and well maintained, with changing areas and showers. There are also a few pavilions for picnics and parties.
