If you’re looking for a dog park in Brambleton, Virginia that combines natural beauty with pet-friendly amenities, the wooded off-leash area at Hal & Berni Hanson Park is an excellent choice. Set within a beautiful, shaded woodland, this off-leash dog park is known for its spacious grounds, welcoming community, and frequent maintenance. The park provides an authentic forest environment for your dog to explore, making it a great spot for stick lovers and adventurous sniffers.
This dog park stands out with its agility obstacles—like tunnels and seesaws—which offer extra fun and training opportunities for your pup. While water sources for dogs aren’t available onsite, the park is well-stocked with waste bags and is regularly cleaned. Wheelchair accessible parking, paved walking paths, and a nearby disc golf course make it just as enjoyable for people as for their pets. Locals love the shaded environment, which is perfect during hot Virginia summers, and the friendly vibe among dog owners.
Beautiful shaded dog park with some obstacles like a tunnel, seesaw, and several others. Would be nice if there was some water available. We always bring your own, thankfully, because we couldn’t find any water faucets.
Awesome dog park with great dogs & dog owners! This one is much more relaxed than the other 4-min away. Good for stick lovers and sniffers!! (I have also seen maintenance almost every time I go, so they keep it clean and stocked with bags!)
Wow! Had no idea this place existed. plenty of space shaded from the sun. Lots of activities to train your dog – see pics. Everyone is friendly. Park to walk around and co-located with Frisbee/Disc golf.
Incredible dog park and family park in general! Be careful if you have a smaller dog, the tough brush in the park can cut up their paws, it’s very unkempt, but that is intentional to give dogs a nice natural forest environment.
There is also a disc golf course and plenty of beautifully paved walking paths.
First time visiting, only a few dogs present as it was rather hot outside. It’s a beautiful wooded off-leash area for the dogs, very spacious. I’m sure it will be beautiful in the fall.
