I always use Funks Grove rest area when going to Springfield. It’s always clean and when you do see staff they are friendly.
Nice clean restrooms here in order to stretch your legs and to get a rest in while using the facilities in a respectable and clean environment! The view is almost Farm like where you can look out and imagine the dairy cows coming in to milk early mornings or late afternoon! If it is Staffed, the staff are diligently doing their jobs and also helping with information for the Illinois Prairie! I love stopping here.

Really nice rest stop. The good reviews did not disappoint. Super shiny clean floors and restrooms. Good lighting. Blue emergency poles. Felt very safe with lots of other travelers at midnight to morning. Highly recommend.
