Great place to be on a nice day. I enjoyed the wooded walking trail with my furry friend. Deeper into those trails could use some maintenance but still a nice walk. If you’re worried about tripping hazards on the trail, there’s a flat loop around the park. Enjoy.

This beautiful and historic site features a dam at the beginning and, if you follow the 4-mile Indian Head River Loop Trail, you will arrive on the opposite side of the same dam. The Indian Head River Trail follows the river, keeping the water to your right, the entire trip when you begin from the Tucker’s Preserve lot. You are guided by plaques telling of the history, including the oldest shoe tac factory, the names of native tribes that called this land home and highlights unique native plant life along the trail.

Great little spot for a quick lunch picnic. My family had a great time exploring the dam and the bridge. Nice lawn for ball and nice trails to walk along the river. The picnic area was clean and had little grills for public use.
