Dog Park in North Ogden, Utah

Located at 850 E 2600 N, the North Ogden Dog Park offers one of the most popular pet-friendly spaces in the area. With its scenic backdrop and creek-side location, this park provides a refreshing environment where dogs can run, play, and socialize off-leash. The park is well-liked for its large, fully fenced area featuring fun hills, a tunnel, benches, and water spigots. There are ample waste bag stations and seating areas for owners, making it a welcoming spot for both newcomers and regulars.

Owners appreciate the park’s spacious design, easy access to fresh water for dogs, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Afternoon shade and plenty of parking add to its convenience. While the ground can become muddy after rain and drainage near the entrance has room for improvement, both owners and dogs continue to enjoy the open space. Note there is currently no separate area for small and large dogs, and more shade would be helpful in warmer months. The dedication among visitors to keep the park clean makes North Ogden Dog Park a standout spot for your next pet-friendly outing or hike.

Becomes a mud-pit! Unfortunately, when it rains, the drainage is horrible and becomes a lake. I have no idea why the city would choose this location when there is so much mountainside to choose from only a little more up the road..

In 2015 North Ogden City raised dog license fees by NULL per dog to help fund a dog park. According to the city news letters this was “just a temporary” location. The park is a hazard due to large muddy drains. It is full of water and ducks in the spring. As a 35 year resident of North Ogden I am embarrassed we dont have a better place for our dogs. I have contacted the City Councel two times and have been told they have other priorities first. There has been new playground equipment for Lomond Park and many other upgrades to the parks, however our dog park is an embarrassment. North Ogden, take a look at what other cities provide for our pets and I am sure you will agree. I wonder how much money our increased license fees has generated. Our residents and pets deserve better.

We love the dog park! There are lots of people who come here and don’t clean up their dogs poop and people who take their dogs in here and ignore them. It’s the only dog park in Ogden with any ground cover that’s not just dirt. It’s mostly weeds in here which is annoying. The city sometimes cuts the weeds, but not often. my dog loves to come play here tho! We will keep coming back!

Nothing fancy, but there’s a nice water spigot and the grass seems to stay healthy because it’s a drainage area. if you go during the wet months, prepare to give your dog a bath after. they do have a hose you could use as well.
