Can be muddy after storms. Fairly straight forward walk with a very small incline about a mile in.

Were didn’t actually use this Trailhead. We rode in at the Legget road trailhead and then rode north for about a mile and a half were the trail made a steep decent into a creek bottom as the railroad bridge was gone.

Trail surface varies from pretty good to rough. A fair number a roots forced you to keep your eyes on the trail surface and not enjoying the scenery. Some stretches had rough rocky surface and finally that step decent into the stream valley made use turn around.

Were rode back to the parking lot and headed south on the trail from there and found the trail surface to be even worse that to ride to the north. Were cut out losses and left with having ridden four mile ride.

I’m sure that lots of more adventuresome riders with bike better built for the trail than our crossover would really like the challenge of riding the trail. To each his own. Were wish them well.

Nice location for a walk. The parking area could use some repair, big potholes. The trail could also use some tlc, narrow and washed out in some areas. It gets better as you climb the hill heading south. You pass a big solar farm a few miles out and a interesting swamp with a lot of wildlife a mile or so further out. .
