Great place for a star party! The sky is very dark and the accommodations are perfect for Astronomy. The cabin has red lights (good for night vision) the field has and excellent horizon, especially for the southern sky.

Roger and his wife were so kind showing us the Calhoun County Park / RV sites and the impressive Settlement Village. We were able to see many stars in the dark sky. Has the best southern exposure as well. We were impressed on the developmental progress they were making in this approximately 200 some acres park. It was truly a diamond in the rough! You could plainly see their passion for making the park a destination site! We will surely want to revisit this site in the future! A real nice cabin to rent as well!

This is a beautiful park that many people don’t use at all. Very well taken care of with alot of things to see and do. playgrounds, picnic ,ponds , camping , bathrooms, ballfield , stargazing , community center, hiking ,biking and old village. Great county park 👌.

Beautiful little park with her heritage village, little league fields , fishing ponds, walking & bike trails and playgrounds for the kiddos. Stage area for entertainment. Super convenient little park.
