Lincoln Woods State Park is a scenic and expansive green space located in Lincoln, Rhode Island, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and dog owners alike. Known for its picturesque 2.5-2.9 mile paved walking and biking paths, beautiful lakeside views, and towering trees, the park offers plenty of options for pet-friendly hikes and strolls. Many locals bring their dogs to enjoy the well-maintained trails and open spaces that wind through woods and around the water, making it a top choice for dog-friendly hiking in the area.
While the park does not specify a dedicated off-leash dog area or fenced dog park amenities, it stands out for its abundance of natural beauty, quiet picnic spots, playgrounds for kids, and a splash pad open during the summer months. There are also picnic shelters, shade, benches, playgrounds, and clean restroom facilities, making it a versatile destination for families and pet owners seeking a relaxing day out. Parking is available, though it can be limited during busy times, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own waste bags due to a lack of general trash cans. Windy kayak adventure. Great blue Heron, several ducks came up to my kayak, large fish were jumping, a king Fisher noisily flew over, finally a nice view of swans. Great place and great day.

this park is a such a treat! I like to run or walk the 2.9mile loop trail, most of it is lined with towering beautiful trees. The beach is small but has everything one would need. Facilities are usually clean and available. I also kayaked, brought my own and roamed the waters. Also Great place to just lay out or on the grass. DISCLAIMER: you will need to bring your own trash bag + dispose it somewhere outside the park. There are no trash cans except for at the restaurant by the beach (Pepe’s kitchen). Also tried the Mexican hotdog, fries and icy at Pepe’s. It was a bit overpriced but hit the spot so.. if you’re lazy & don’t mind spending extra – I recommend. Overall my experience at this park is usually 10/10
