This is a great in-town park with a playground, dog park, Frisbee golf, and a nice paved trail (which connects to the frisbee golf if you wanna extend your walk unpaved). There were lots of ducks, squirrels, and birds. There’s plenty of parking and two entrances (which do not connect to each other). Really enjoyed the time there. There are restrooms but I didn’t use them and cannot verify their cleanliness.
I really like this park, it’s just beautiful if you like taking photos this is a great spot. Loved the trees.
What a beautiful little park! Feed the turtles and see all the different species of ducks and birds, who call the park home. Plus free disc golf and a wonderful place for a barbecue with men’s and women’s always clean bathrooms provided. It’s a half mile walk around the park!
Jack is entering his 6th week anniversary of being adopted from Halifax Humane Society. Tomorrow he goes back for 1 of 3 intensive heartworm treatments so today he came, he saw and he CONQUERED Reed Canal Dog Park! We will be back, once he’s able!!!
I would imagine this park was beautiful prior to my first visit with my son and his schoolmates. Open, pond, and acres complement the trails.
Unfortunately, the children’s play area has fallen in disrepair. Patches will not stop rotting, rusty steel playground. The county passed 7-0, the purchase of 400 plus acres last week. Plans of a motorway are uncertain. Maintain the parks we have. I visited a small number of Volusia County parks. All of them need repairs. Commissioners most likely haven’t a need to visit what they vote on.
