It was a beautiful hike, and it lightly snowed on us at lunchtime.

Nice area to take a hike, several trails meet around the same parking lot. It’s not too far or rough of a gravel road to get to the trailhead, but you aren’t going to want to drive further up the road without a very high clearance, 4 wheel drive truck.

My only complaint is that too many people don’t clean up after their dogs, which is especially apparent around the parking lot. Come on folks, pick up or bury your dog poop and carry your trash out! Let’s keep this area looking nice for everyone’s use.

HIKERS BEWARE! Trails are all mud and ripped up from dirt bikes. Awesome trails for dirt biking (even though signs against it) and if dry I’d assume for mountain biking. Hiking wise I’d stick to the other side of 40.
