Dog Beach in Ormond Beach, Florida, offers a wonderful opportunity for pet lovers to enjoy the sun and sand with their furry companions. Nestled along Rockefeller Dr., this stretch of beach—spanning about 0.6 miles from Rockefeller to Milsap—is a favorite among locals for its relaxed vibe and breathtaking ocean views. It’s the ideal spot to stroll with your dog, splash in the waves, and take in the beauty of the Atlantic coast.
What sets Dog Beach apart is its year-round accessibility and welcoming atmosphere for families and pets. While dogs must remain leashed at all times for safety and local regulations, there’s ample space to run and play, and a convenient hose and shower area for rinsing off after a day in the sand. Parking is available nearby, with conflicting reports on fees—some mention free spots, while others suggest paid beach parking may apply. The beach is also wheelchair accessible and great for kids, making it one of the area’s most popular dog-friendly destinations.
Luna loves this beach. There is rarely any other dogs here when we’ve beenNULL She loves playing with her squeekie tennis ball. And running in the waves and rolling in the sand. There’s a hose and shower as you leave to hose them off. If you can keep them from rolling in it again b4 you get off the beach? I don’t know where it costs to park for this beach? There’s free parking where I enter. Maybe to park on the beach it costs? But someone on here said 20$ to park? I don’t know about that? I live here and have never paid to park.
It’s our 1st day here, with our 2 fur-babies,and they are having a blast!! The beach is full of beautiful people, and their beautiful families!! The water is perfect, and we couldn’t say THANK YOU enough, for finally, having a beach we can bring our little ones, all year long!! Parking on the beach, makes it that much more, AWESOME!!
We LOVE this dog beach
Be prepared to keep your dog on a leash at this Dog beach.
There are many people walking without dogs, and passing cars—although moving slowly—still make it not entirely safe. The area is indeed clean, but this is not a designated dog park. Only a section of the beach allows dogs, and they must be leashed at all times.
Parking costs ? per day.
Awesome dog beach!! It goes from Rockefeller to Milsap around 0.6miles long.
