Hillcrest Dog Park is a beloved local spot for dog owners looking for spacious, well-maintained grounds in Clovis, New Mexico. The park boasts generously sized, grassy areas perfect for off-leash play, with plenty of shade trees keeping pups cool during those warm desert days. Both small and large dogs are welcome, with thoughtfully separated, fenced sections to ensure a safe play environment. The park’s community is known for being responsible and friendly, making it a great place for regular visits and socializing your pup.
This dog park features small pools and ample seating, including benches and shaded areas, making it comfortable for both pets and their owners. You’ll find double-gated entrances for added security, along with water fountains to keep your dog hydrated. Nearby, there are pet-friendly trails, a picnic area, a playground, and basketball courts, offering more amenities for a family outing. While the park is generally clean and well-kept, bring along some bug spray during mosquito season and your own poop bags, as waste stations can occasionally run low.

The area is decent but they don’t put any flea killer down. The rest of the park is a fail. There is a huge offer population of geese the poop all over the walking trail and in the pond, that’s why the water is so nasty looking. Would like to see the park officials get rid of the geese all together.

Generously sized dog park that has grass and shade (at least in early May it did..). Plenty of room to throw the ball. Little oasis in an otherwise fairly dry and desert-like town.

Scooter rates this park 5 stars for it’s spacious, sticker free environment. Plenty of shade trees, small pools. There are small balls everywhere. During the 40 min I bound about, I was the only one there at 9am. Definitely worth the visit.
