Located in Lower Lincoln Park, Wagging Tails Dog Park is one of the few true grass dog parks in Tucson, Arizona, offering pet owners and their pups an inviting, pet-friendly space to play and exercise. Known for its well-maintained, regularly rotated grassy fields, this dog park features separate sections for large and small dogs, making it a safe and enjoyable environment for pups of all sizes. Visitors highlight the park’s secure fencing, double-gated entry, agility equipment, drinking fountains, shaded seating, and misting stations that help keep both pet owners and dogs cool during Tucson’s warmer months.
Wagging Tails stands out for its friendly community vibe, clean grounds, and amenities like benches, picnic tables, ample parking, and plenty of room for dogs to run and socialize. The City of Tucson continues to upgrade the park, adding water-harvesting landscapes, shade trees, and even art installations. While some reviews note occasional maintenance or crowding issues, most agree that Wagging Tails is one of the best dog parks in Tucson for a positive, off-leash experience with your furry friend.
We love this dog park! Unlike every other dog park in town, this one has grass, they cycle out one of the 3 areas to seed and let the grass grow.. there are always 2 other areas open, one for big dogs one for Littles.
There are a lot of regulars here, and they are all friendly, their people are pretty cool too.
There are several people with smaller dogs that frequent the park, who take them in the over 30 lb section, I’ve never seen it cause a problem. So that is important to us as we have a 16 lb Maltipoo who we didn’t used to bring, but now do after seeing how well behaved the dogs are here.. and he loves it!
So please, if you’re thinking about trying this dog park, make sure your dog is good with other dogs of all types and sizes, because as it is, everyone gets along really well.
