Beautiful views and park but the trails around the vista are poorly marked! We ended up in the camp property and had to use a compass and map to work our way back! Also signs point in ways that the trails don’t go so it’s easy to get turned around.
This is one of PA’s 3 new state parks. It is still being developed. There is some hiking here. We walked to the small boat launch area. The launch area is only for kayaks and canoes. We walked down to the river there and walked on the rocks. The drive to the park is further than you’d expect.
Vosburg Neck State Park (formerly the Howland Preserve) is in a secluded area formed by a large curve in the Susquehanna River. The park has nine trails. The Eagle and Canal trails have recently been re-cleared. The Vista Trail is the longest at 2.3 miles. There is also a good size walk-in boat launch at a pretty spot along the river.

Cute, simple little park. We did the walnut and the eagle trail and they were both flat and well maintained. The only bathrooms are porta potties by the red barn. A map on the barn says there is a nature center at the end of vosburg road but if there was it’s now a church camp.
Very quiet and well maintained state park. Plenty of parking, lots of picnic tables and port-a-potties on site. Multiple trails with varying terrain. Checked out the river trail and vista trail. I did notice these trails do not yet exist on AllTrails or Gaia so make sure you are following the trail markers. Carry in and carry out.
