Something for everyone here! Lots of shade, bathrooms available, picnic tables, zip line, sandbox, the typical playground equipment and even soccer fields. Highly recommend for toddlers and older. The ground is all woodchips

Plenty of shade trees, open space to kick a ball or throw a Frisbee, swings, and fun playground structure with zip line. Connects to a few walking trails.

We visited Cottonwood Park a lot last summer because of the shade. The park offered a good spot for our swing loving kiddo to swing without being stuck in the hot midday sun (thanks trees). Cottonwood Park has been updated since we’ve visited and there’s so much more to explore! From the parking lot (lots of parking spaces), you pass two restrooms (I think?), a basketball court, and a picnic bench under a shaded tree. Then if you continue ahead left, you’ll see two woodland creatures in bounce form (bunny and squirrel), two bucket swings, along with a small sand “box” area complete with a sand table (height on that table is a bit tall but I’m only 5′-2″) and digger. To the right from the basketball court area, there’s 4 additional swings, one swing a seat with an overhead buckle/strap. A dozing bear (symbol for all tired parents, perhaps?) watches over the now green and beige play structure on this side. There’s a climbing structure, climbing rope, spinning bucket, and the bejeweled tall twirl-y slide. At the time of our visit (early June 2022), the zip line was still being installed, but it’s likely to be popular come summer. Oh! Let’s not forget the shaded gazebo with more picnic tables or the soccer fields. A fun place for all ages: go PLAY!
