It is convenient to park by this bridge to have access to the trails and the overlook. We took the river walk down to the trail which turns into the woods and goes up to the overlook. I believe there is a closer trail to the parking though. The river walk is lovely, and the trail is mild the first part, and then gets steep as it climbs to the overlook. If you wanted to get crazy, you could probably scramble up the steep hill to the overlook at some point, but it wouldn’t be easy.

Great little hiking area.

Hiking- A few trails that vary in challenge level.

Biking- The road “Pipeline Trail” is great for a short bike ride. I can’t imagine biking the steep trails though. So many rocks and washouts.

Amenities- Well maintained primitive camping area along the river with picnic tables and fire rings. There is also a portable toilet on site that is kept clean.

I spend a lot of time here, as it’s just a couple miles from my home. When I just need to get in the woods and get my miles in, I come here.

The pics are from January of 24. You can tell I was searching hard for things that were worth taking a pic of- I promise it’s prettier here in the other seasons.

I thought that rock looked like the turtle from Neverending Story. 😁

Have fun

Beautiful, peaceful, well maintained and yet undisturbed. Saw a small black bear on our hike but it was good bear and was not a threat at all! It went it’s own way. The view at summit is Gorgeous especially perfect for a date or time with kids, time and again.

Trailhead to Dennison Point Overlook. Beautiful hiking area, especially in fall!
