Boehm Park is a well-loved dog park in South Bend, Indiana, offering a spacious, fully fenced play area for dogs of all sizes. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood and located near Edison Road, the park is split into separate enclosures for large and small breeds, each allowing pups to run off-leash and socialize safely. Owners will appreciate the agility equipment, benches, and shady spots—especially for the small dog area. Although the large dog section is more open and hilly with fewer shade options, there is ample space for running and play.
Dog owners will find several conveniences at Boehm Park, such as doggy bag stations, trash bins, and sturdy double-gated entries. However, there is no dedicated running water source, so visitors are encouraged to bring their own. The park also features a variety of amenities outside the dog park—well-kept playgrounds, pickleball and basketball courts, and clean restrooms—making it a family-friendly destination. Trails near the park provide additional pet-friendly walking opportunities, and locals love the relaxed, friendly atmosphere among regular visitors and their pups.
Cute little park. Playground for kids (of all abilities), baseball fields, pickleball courts, newer basketball courts. The bathrooms are well kept and clean throughout the season as well.
Great park for kids and family’s. Grills available if you bring your own coal and food. Basketball courts, soccer field and tennis court.
I visit this park almost daily. Many fun family activities. Usually clean, although I have seen a lot of garbage after large events. Great park overall.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this park is a nice find. We enjoy the shady picnic tables with our carryout restaurant selections and often see a few young children playing on the swings and equipment supervised by their grandparents. Pretty sweet.
This was a good park for my 7 year old to play in. The playground has some unique features, such as a climbing ladder and 4 person jump spring. The 3 seat carousel was also a hit! This park is small enough and off the beaten path to be less busy than other parks, something I’ve looked for in playgrounds in the Mishawaka/South Bend area. Add in the finish touch of nice large trees nearby shading about half of the playground and a couple of benches and this is my go-to location during COVID times!
