Nestled in the scenic mountain landscape of Granby, the Dog Park at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch is a must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking a dog-friendly adventure. This welcoming dog park offers plenty of space for your pets to run off-leash, with separate areas designated for large and small/shy dogs. The park is surrounded by beautiful trees, providing natural shade, and features boulders perfect for impromptu agility sessions. With benches, picnic tables, and a packed loop trail, it’s a fantastic spot for both human and canine companions looking to enjoy the outdoors together, even during the snowy Colorado winters.
Accessibility is a priority here, as the park has both wheelchair accessible entrances and parking. For those interested in dog-friendly hiking, the park has a short packed trail to explore while your dog roams safely. Water fountains are available (though may be seasonally off), and children are welcome, making it a great all-ages destination in the Fraser Valley area. Whether you want to socialize with other pups or simply let your dog explore the open gravel areas, this Granby dog park is designed with comfort and fun in mind.
What a place!! Staffing had a few issues with booking things. We paid for certain times and when we arrived our group was not scheduled. They accommodated us with later times, but still a little headache. Also not a lot of communication between staff, but overall a good experience!
Beautiful park. Lots of trees, benches, and some boulders for dog agility, as well as a wide open gravel area near the gate. Separate area for small / shy dogs.
No one else was here at 4pm on a Friday in October, but we’re hoping for some play buddies later. There is a combo human/dog water fountain not currently turned on (either winterized or covid precautions).
In the meantime, it provides lots of fun smells and a place to run around off leash while maintaining the mountain feel.
Such a great dog park! I’ve only been in the winter but my dog loved romping in the snow here. It has two sections, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. We have occasional issues with other dogs so this was great to be able to go and be away from anyone else.
Excellent, well care for and friendly dogs. The winter time was fun for our pup to play in the Snow. A small packed loop trail was available to tour the park while our doggo explored
Popped by here in our short visit to Fraser. Our huskies enjoyed running in the snow. Do you have to be a member of the Y or pay a day pass fee.
