Dallas Park is a beloved community space in Dallas, NC, offering something for everyone, including dog owners looking for a welcoming place to let their pets run and play. With scenic pet-friendly trails winding around picturesque ponds, a dock for fishing, and beautiful shade from surrounding trees, it’s a spot where both dogs and their humans can get some fresh air and exercise.

Beyond being one of the more unique dog parks in Dallas, NC, the park boasts a splash pad for kids, multiple playgrounds, shaded picnic shelters, basketball courts, a disc golf course, and walking/hiking trails like the Forney Creek Trail—perfect for dog-friendly outings. While the dog park itself is on the smaller side and shade can be limited at certain times of day, the wider park grounds include plenty of opportunities for walking, socializing, and relaxing. This is a great, well-kept spot with lots of amenities! The playground is small but a lot of fun and the splash pad is awesome (open Memorial Day-Labor Day). The dog park can be difficult to find and you will see exactly 0 signs for it, but if you drive all the way to the end of the park near the lake and walk along it (the big lake with the dock, not the small one with the concrete path), you’ll eventually run into it. There is a water fountain for dogs outside the parks, and decent shade in both the large and small dog parks.

This is the closest park to us, and while my husband and I don’t really go there for ourselves my daughter does like going just for the splash pad. This alone I think keeps us coming back every year. She always has a good time and it is a good size pad with lots of little things to interact with.

We loved that this splash pad has a giant bucket that fills up! And the park is beautiful and clean. We wish there was a bit more covered seating/ covered picnic tables, but it’s alright 🥰 the playground is conveniently right next to the splash pad so no having to haul kids and strollers to another location.

The playground is fun but whatever they spray on the grass has gotten me sick both times I have been there. It is very pretty but I felt like throwing up afterward. But i saw a so of cute ducks there. So don’t walk in the grass unless you like being sick.

It has a big new splash pad, playground, and dog park. There are a lot of ducks and geese around the ponds. A lot of them will let you get pretty close while feeding them. There’s a nice trail that goes around the bigger pond with a dock for fishing. There are 3 or 4 shelters that can be rented out for parties.
