Rogers Park in Danbury, Connecticut offers a vibrant and spacious urban environment ideal for dog owners and families alike. This well-loved city park features scenic, pet-friendly paved trails perfect for dog walking, jogging, and biking. Many visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, picturesque lake views, ample shade, and the numerous benches scattered throughout the park. Rogers Park is a favorite for dog-friendly hiking adventures and provides a peaceful escape amidst the city bustle.
The park is home to a variety of amenities, including multiple playgrounds for children, sports fields, tennis courts, a wall ball court, and splash areas. While there isn’t a dedicated off-leash dog area or fenced-in dog park, dogs are frequently seen walking (on leash) with their owners along the shaded trails and open fields. Visitors can expect free parking, paved paths for greater accessibility, and beautiful spots for a stroll with their pups around the pond or through wooded areas. While waste stations and water fountains for dogs are not provided, the park’s combination of recreational spaces and natural beauty make it a top destination for pet owners looking for outdoor fun in Danbury.
Roger’s Park is a great resource for Danbury. Looking forward to the Danbury Car and Truck Festival tomorrow!
It’s a nice park with playing fields but something needs to be done about the vehicles with loud music/mufflers racing up and down the road as well as unlicensed motor bikes/atv’s/mini bikes with kids in the area as well as Seniors and disabled that live at the end of the road. There’s an over abundance of geese dropping all over the walking paths. Garbages are overloaded and go for days with without being emptied. It’s supposed to be a tobacco/vape/Marijuana free park but yet you see people using hookah and not just for tobacco. The very small sign about it can only be seen if you are turning into the War Memorial parking lot and you would gave to ve looking for it.
Love this park, always fun out here, to play around, read a book, walk, think and much much more. this is my peaceful place
Great local park that’s beautiful I love taking my dog on walks there . I love the scenery it’s a great spot to take pictures
Maintained nicely for urban park grounds with trail access and a very pretty bike/walking trail around a pond with free parking. As well as a combination soccer & American football field, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, a wall ball court and a children’s park for many ages and abilitys connected to a spray park. Unfortuantly being in the middle of a city means there is almost always garbage left on the ground and they have no dog bag stations like other towns and city’s would so people do not always pick up their dogs droppings, and no one pays attention to the signs asking to not feed the birds. In fact many people will just dump chips and bread around and walk away.
