Great family trail. Walked two miles round trip. Two Boulder fields, animals, abs great views. I have also run this. Great spot. Goes all the way to West I-70 or the top of lookout. Either way a great time.
Glad we checked this one out. Very smooth trail, mostly dirt road. Apparently we missed the turn for the real fun as Trails Off-road had this listed as a 14 mile, 4+ hour loop. Will be going back to explore more.
About an hour snd a half from Denver, straight up into Fairplay. Be mindful of the neighbors!
Great trail to get a hike in. Well maintained trail, nice teepees along the trail, and great views. My favorite was the boardwalk over the swamp. Plenty of shade and plenty of trails to take as well. Worth the hike!
Great hike. We hiked it just before the roads open on June 15th. Some spots under restoration. I’d stick to the main road. Views were great!!
Pictures just can’t compare to just how beautiful this hike is. I went 6/28/25 perfect hiking weather with dog and family hikers along the way. I even enjoyed watching a horseback rider enjoying the path.
