Classen Park is a small urban park located at 2515 Jefferson Ave in Cincinnati, Ohio, right on the corner of a bustling university neighborhood. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, this green space is wheelchair accessible and good for kids, making it a convenient spot for nearby residents or those visiting the University area. While it’s not a large or traditional dog park, local dog owners can enjoy the pet-friendly environment and easy access for quick walks or a relaxing break.
The unique urban vibe offers plenty of opportunities to watch city life unfold, with benches to sit and take in the action at the intersection of Calhoun, William Howard Taft, Vine Street, and Jefferson Streets. Although amenities are limited—with reviews mentioning mostly open grass and few trees—Classen Park remains a viable choice for those seeking a pet-friendly park in Cincinnati, Ohio, especially if you’re looking for a quick stop close to campus life and city activity.
Good place to chill and watch the world move.
Congratulations (Uncle) Paul Gallagher – the park is dedicated to you!!!
This isn’t a park. it’s a vacant lot on the corner. they just gentrified it to appease the college kids. Don’t drink from the water fountain. Besides having been a receptacle for Panhandler urine, the pipes that connect it to the water mains are made of lead.
Park? This is a barren corner of dead grass and a few lonely trees placed aside a busy city intersection. If it had some thick, tall privacy hedges on the southern and eastern edges, then I might consider calling it a mini-park.
Classes Park!!! This is not much of a park but I do pass it all the time when I am walking up to Cane’s chicken or continue to walk up Calhoun. I’ve never knew the name of this park but I’ve been there a few times. It is right on a popular University corner so I guess someone bought some land and said hey let’s make this a park! There are few benches there and maybe a grill but I don’t think so. so I’m going to still give it 5 stars because I walk past it every time I go up to Calhoun, so there you go! I know one thing, it would be good for is watching a lot of activity because Calhoun and William Howard Taft, Vine Street and Jefferson Streets are packed with action So if you want to watch what goes on there so that would definitely be a good place to sit and watch!
