Located in Churubusco, Indiana, Churubusco Park – Diamond 1 is a multi-use park known for its family-oriented atmosphere and abundant recreational amenities. While not exclusively a dog park, it’s a popular spot for families, children, and dog owners. The park features pet-friendly trails that wind through shaded woods, making it ideal for pet-friendly hiking and relaxed walks with your canine companion. Flooding can be an issue after heavy rains, but on dry days the trails and open spaces are perfect for energetic dogs and outdoor fun.
This park offers a wide range of activities beyond dog-walking, including a splash pad, playground, skate park, ball diamonds, basketball and volleyball courts, and covered seating areas. Its location near Blue River walkway and Columbia City Firefighters Museum also provides more options for nearby outings. Visitors frequently comment on the park’s cleanliness and the fun, safe environment for children and pets alike. While the fence around some areas could use repair and there are no specific mentions of dog-only fenced sections, many enjoy its dog-friendly atmosphere and shaded paths.
