Leadville Dog Park offers a clean, secure, and spacious area for dogs to run, play, and socialize in the heart of Leadville, Colorado. As one of the primary pet-friendly spaces in the area, the park features a securely fenced-in environment, ample shade from mature trees, and convenient picnic tables and benches for visitors. Whether you’re a local or exploring the region’s dog-friendly hiking trails, this dog park provides a reliable spot for letting your pet off-leash in a beautiful mountain town setting.
Families will appreciate the proximity to a playground and skate park, making it an ideal destination for both kids and pets. Regular visitors praise the park’s cleanliness, well-maintained grounds, and the presence of waste stations throughout. Although there isn’t a dedicated water fountain, local dog lovers often leave water bowls and jugs to keep everyone hydrated.
I take my dog there because I don’t know of another dog park in the area. Alot of the park is dirt and steep. It looks like a local civic minded group needs to adopt this place and bring it up to what could be.
Went early morning on the weekend and had the whole place to ourselves! The park is bigger than it seems when you first pull up. Seemed very clean and well maintained when we went.
Our first time here. My dog loved it. She played with another dog, they ran around and had a blast. Nice fenced-in area with poo stations every few feet. Gates to keep it all closed in. We will definitely be back.
Went with a friend and his dog. Very pleasant, pretty large area for a city dog park. Lots of trees, some grassy areas (really weeds) picnic table and a few benches well placed. Great place for dogs to run & play.
Only downside is there is not a fountain for dogs to get water, but when we were there- some kind soul had brought a large water bowl & a few jugs of water.
There is a skate park just across the parking lot (dirt/gravel lot) & I believe I saw a children’s playground close by as well.
Very clean, securely fenced in, and people have left gallons of water with a big bowl. My dogs loved it!
