Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

Located in the heart of Sacramento, California, Glenbrook Park offers a spacious and well-fenced dog park with separate areas for small and large breeds. The large dog park is particularly expansive, providing plenty of space for your canine companion to run and play. With double entrances for added security, this park is a top choice for anyone searching for a dog-friendly park in Sacramento.
Glenbrook Park is more than just a dog park; it also features shaded areas, benches, and dog-friendly water fountains. The ground is mostly covered in crushed granite, so expect dust when it’s dry and muddy conditions after rain. The overall environment is friendly, with both well-socialized dogs and owners. Other amenities include a playground, picnic tables, public restrooms, and proximity to river access and pet-friendly trails—making it a hub for outdoor activities for both people and pups.
A few weak spots (see photos) and quite a bit of poop not cleaned up by owners, but overall a decent large dog park area. IT’S HUGE.
***Please be advised that the large dog side has TWO separate entrances, one on each end of this very large fenced area! Please double-check that BOTH are latched shut before letting your dog off the leash so your dog doesn’t let themselves out 200 yards away from where you came in.***
This park was cool. Small parking lot in the front. It’s the only park I’ve seen in a while with a merry go round. Tennis courts, baseball field, and a dog park. Pretty large open field, also. Spacious playground for the kids.
This is a good park! It has lots of tree shade, baseball fields, picnic tables, public restrooms, a playground, a dog park, and is right across the street from one of my favorite river access paths! I only give it 4 stars because I’ve seen the restrooms in a poorly maintained state too often.
Love this place moved into the area a few years back brought my son to this park to play because they have a nice playground , my husband and I go play tennis one day while here we saw a sign for tryouts for the little league my son has been playing ever since the other parents have become like family and this park has become like home
There was a playground for kids, a small dog park, and a large dog park. We took our dog to the large dog park. It is very long with plenty of area to run. Some grass and some dirt so it may be muddy after rain. Very friendly people and dogs.
