Deptford Doggie Park is a popular dog park conveniently located at 505 Deptford Ave in Westville, NJ. This pet-friendly haven offers both locals and visitors a safe and accessible space for their dogs to play and socialize. With wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, it welcomes dog owners of all abilities. The park features separately fenced areas for small and large dogs, open spaces for running, agility structures, and a strong community of active local dog owners.
Amenities include benches, shaded structures, covered arbor areas, doggy water stations with hoses and pools for cooling off, poop bags, trash cans, and plentiful parking right out front. While most of the park is sand and dirt—so expect things to get a little messy after rainfall—it’s a relaxed, off-leash space for dogs to enjoy. If you’re looking for a dog park in Westville, New Jersey, that offers space, essential amenities, and a welcoming community, Deptford Doggie Park is a great pick.
Deptford Dog Park is close and convenient, which makes it a good local option. There’s accessible water for the dogs, which is definitely a plus, and the location is easy to get to.
That said, the park could use some improvements. There are a few shaded structures, but they don’t actually shade the benches or offer much relief from the sun. Most of the ground is dirt and sand, which can get pretty messy, especially after rain.
One thing that’s more about the visitors than the park—some people don’t clean up after their dogs, which makes the experience less enjoyable for everyone else.
Overall, it’s a decent park, but better shade and ground maintenance would make a big difference.
I have been bringing my dog here for over 3 years now. I love the open area and space they have to run. Most of the time there’s a few dogs or so. Overall it’s a pretty nice park with a decent environment. The only downside I would say is occasionally there are shards of small glass I find in the dirt and also some people bring their dog that probably shouldn’t be there because they aren’t exactly dog friendly.
Surprisingly a very nice park. I was happy to find it. I loved that the big dogs are in a separate sections. Nyla my Beagle sister enjoyed being there.
Great dog park. Has poop bags, benches, shade area, trash cans, water, lots of toys, agility structures, area for small and large dogs. No lock or code to enter. Mostly sand. Active local dog owners. Plenty or parking out front. 100 ft walk to large dog area. There is no big sign on the street so you have to look for the entrance. Great spot for pups of all ages and sizes!
Liked having fresh water hose to cool off the dog and little plastic pools. Someone said that a guy named Tom made a great arbor for shade. Great park
