My visit went without problems.
This is a nice open grass area on the south side of Grant Park. It is unfenced so there are opportunities for your dog to explore beyond the designated area so definitely need to keep a close eye on your doggos. We met with several other fur friends and had a nice experience overall. This is on a quieter end of the park and there are bathrooms nearby.
